Mark Yong
Co-Founder & CEO
Garuda Robotics

Mark is co-founder and CEO at Garuda Robotics. A veteran of the robotics industry, he has twenty years of experience developing and deploying field robotics and AI solutions for Urban Search and Rescue, autonomous urban security patrols, and higher education in the STEM domain. Mark was previously an award-winning lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. He was trained in Computer Engineering, Economics and Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Michigan.

Ng Siau Yong
Director, Geospatial & Data Division, Chief Data Officer
Singapore Land Authority


Siau Yong is responsible for driving and establishing a collaborative geospatial environment in Singapore, overseeing the formulation, design and management of the policy and programme for geospatial information governance, infrastructure and technology development, capacity building, and the use of geospatial systems in data analytics.

Under his stewardship, various important geospatial initiatives have been implemented. Among them, OneMap, the Singapore Government’s geospatial information and services portal, has won many international accolades. GeoWorks, an industry centre has been set up to promote geospatial business growth, drive geo-innovation, and foster a well-connected geospatial community. Siau Yong initiated the setting up of the Singapore GeoSpatial Scholarship to strengthen the building of geospatial manpower. He is actively involved in the UN Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UNGGIM) and chairs the National Institutional Arrangement Work Group until recently.

Trained as an urban planner, Siau Yong started his career with the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority. He later served the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of Law in various capacities. Upon joining SLA, he first assumed the position of Director, Strategic Planning and Policy and later Director, Land Asset Management Services, prior to taking on the current portfolio.

Dr Parry Oei

Adviser (Hydrography)
Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore
Dr Parry Oei is Adviser (Hydrography) at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and Chair of the East Asia Hydrographic Commission’s Charting and Hydrographic Committee. He is the former Chief Hydrographer of Singapore and Chair of IHO Inter-regional Coordination Committee (2014 – 2020). He holds a post-graduate diploma in hydrographic surveying from Plymouth University in the United Kingdom, a Master‘s degree in Maritime Policy from University of Wollongong in Australia, and he received his Hononary Doctorate of Science from Plymouth University in the United Kingdom.

Engineer turned Product Manager with a deep love for solving business problems with the help of people and technology. Moved to Singapore for Grab, after 15 years in the US working at large companies like Yahoo! and HPE. Incubated a series of B2B focused teams at Grab including Grab For Business, and Grab's partnership based offerings. Currently building location based services for SEA and Grab.

Thomas Pramotedham
Chief Executive Officer
Esri Singapore

Thomas Pramotedham is regarded as one of Singapore’s leading GIS authorities. Thomas joined Esri Singapore in 2009, initially as the company’s commercial director – before being appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in 2014.

Prior to this, he held senior positions in the media and advertising sectors, where he advised organisations on how to drive operational efficiencies and increase productivity through the use of emerging technologies.

As the CEO, Thomas partners with many of the country’s most progressive government, commercial and community groups, helping them explore new ways to strengthen their operations with geographic insight. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Computing from the National University of Singapore.
